As a 2020 Summer Intern with FIS, you will have the opportunity to participate in team projects, community service activities, social events, professional development seminars and work alongside team mentors. This is a full time (40hrs/week) paid internship that will begin on June 8, 2020 and conclude on August 14, 2020.

About the team:

The Fraud, Risk, and Compliance solutions team offers its clients a plethora of industry knowledge and expertise to detect and prevent fraud within our card (debit, credit, and prepaid) products by leveraging various strategies and rulesets. Our associates and analysts use industry-leading detection tools to monitor and investigate suspicious activity with 24 x 7 coverage for thousands of financial institutions and their cardholders. Despite the growing threat of fraud and account takeover in card products across the industry, this team has been able to minimize exposure to financial loss for both our clients and FIS.

What you will be doing:

  • You will spend time with the technical team learning about implementation of new models and programs
  • You will participate in client calls, both for strategic planning and quarterly business reviews
  • You will shadow a fraud analyst, to understand how data mining and analysis are tools for fraud prevention
  • You will learn about fraud operations; how our fraud prevention and detection efforts affect cardholders
  • You will participate in industry-leading webinars and fraud forums

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Adaptability, a drive to learn, and strong problem-solving skills
